Young Living Beauty School March 1-3, 2018 – Dallas Texas
Beauty School was truly an educational and personally uplifting experience.
It was held in Downtown Dallas, Texas, at the Hyatt.
I arrived on Thursday around noon and walked from my hotel over to the Hyatt to register. It went super-fast and I got to pick from one of many gorgeous branded beauty boxes. I picked the one that looked like it was from Paris, France.
The product store was open where one can purchase limited items for 10% off. I really had to restrain myself as I love so many Young Living products.
I also had a facial color match done (for free). They help you pick the right shade foundation for your skin type. I was a warm 2. This will be important for purchasing my beauty starter kit later.
Finally, I retired to my hotel room down the road. I knew the next day was going to be a long one.
Friday, March 2nd
Workshops started at 8 am. I could have gone to Yoga but 7am was just too early for me.
I attended a 60-minute class on Reducing Taxes with a Home Business by Evangelene Reed, Crown Diamond. I learned so may tips. She also mentioned TaxBot, a program to help you with your Young Living home business taxes. I then popped over to listen to Hanna Crews talk about building your business with social media.
There was a general session where Luba Volzar was the host. Mary Young spoke and was inspiring, followed were Carmindy, Jennifer Cirone, Ms Norht America Globe, Sabina DeVita, Crown Diamond, Cherie Ross, Royal Crown Diamond and Hanna Crews, Platium.
Each had such great personal stories to tell, tips and pointers for us all.
We then got to open our beauty boxes and get some hands on training. I sure needed that!
With our Beauty School ticket, two lunches and one dinner were included. I was so impressed how the Hyatt was able to feed so many people at once, buffet style and the food was great!
I took a few moments, during the next general session, to get a facial photo done for $15. This print out shows the sun damage on your skin and and vascular conditions. Products were suggested for my face. I’m going to save the printout and take it to the next beauty school for comparison.
One could also sign up for a Raindrop Technique if they had an appointment. I really didn’t want to miss any of the talks, so I chose not to.
The evening after dinner there was a Masquerade contest with some pretty creative costumes!
Saturday March 3rd
More workshops. For me it was Being Your Best Life Coach with Hanna Tallo and Cultivating Self Care with Ed Dailey. After listening to Ed speak, I had regretted not participating in the Yoga classes that he held. Note to self… Next time.
In the afternoon there was another general session. The highlight for me was Marcella Vonn Harting. She spoke about conscious language and face reading. It was so fascinating. Words to us and to not use. There was a panel of men and they were asked questions about the business and the men’s products. It was very entertaining hearing a man’s perspective. We also got some great tips on hosting a Savvy Class
There were close to 2000 attendees there. I was very hopeful to win the Premier Aroma Collection valued at over $2000. Plus, there were other great prizes. I did not win. Sad panda.
Beauty School was a great time. Every moment listening to the great speakers, attending the mini classes and meeting like minded people was empowering, self confidence building and just plain fun. And oh, I have never used makeup in my life, so I did learn how to better take care of my skin and maybe even apply a little makeup.
