New Journey…

Wendy AppleClean Eating, Fitness, Weight Loss, Wellness

I’m launching down another path in my wellness journey and inviting you to follow along with my journey. Frankly, I need the accountability.

New journey… Watch video

Over the last 5 years, I’ve been pregnant with three precious babies. Our oldest is getting ready to turn 4 years old. We had to release our next baby into the arms of Jesus before we were able to meet our little one, and we look forward to the day we will reunite. Our youngest is now 4 months.

Three tough pregnancies, bedrest, two c-sections, grief, major life transitions…. My body is not the same as it used to be. Not surprising, huh? While I’ve shed a lot of pounds since having our last sweet girl, I’ve come to a place where the weight loss has slown down. Once upon a time I would have hit the gym and known exactly what to do there to make it happen. However, with two little ones, nursing a baby, homeschooling, running my own business…. The list goes on… Hitting it hard in the gym for a couple hours just doesn’t fit our current lifestyle and needs of our family. So, it needs to look different…

I need to be back in shape. To be healthy. To be able to play hard with my girls and enjoy life with my husband. And my girls need to see me doing it. I am intentional about making wellness a natural part of their lifestyle. That needs to be comprehensive and they learn best how to live by watching how their daddy and I live. So… I want to lose another 20-25 pounds, be stronger, and increase my endurance.

I’ve joined an online Faith & Fitness accountability program run by a dear friend and faith based mentor. Yesterday, I embarked on a three week commitment to reach my goals. I have a 21-day fitness program I will be following. I have an eating plan which isn’t too dissimilar to how I have been eating. I found two challenges:

1. I’m not getting all of the food in (WOW, right?!?!). However, especially because I am breastfeeding, I need to work on this. Also, I need to prioritize my meals like I prioritize my girls’.
2. I like a bit of sweet now and then… A bit of dark chocolate, some honey…

OK. Time to head out the door with my sweet girls to keep us on track for the day. I’ll keep posting updates to my journey. Follow along and feel free to share your own in the comments.

I would love to hear from you and know what your goals are.
