Toxin Free Family

Who else is tired of rinsing your apples under cold water only to find they leave your hands with a sticky, waxy feeling?

And just what IS that powdery white coating all around the top of my apple?

I assume that it’s residue from the food-safe wax that is supposed to make our apples shinier and longer-lasting.  But these days with apples topping the Dirty Dozen list of foods you should always buy organic, who really knows what kind of pesticides are lurking in that residue? Yuck!

Speaking of pesticides, have you done your homework about GMOs and Roundup? If not, here’s a little cheat sheet.

According to the Environmental Working Group (an organization of scientists, researchers, and policymakers), the most contaminated fruits and vegetables that top the Dirty Dozen list are:

  • apple
  • peaches
  • strawberries
  • pears
  • lettuce
  • cherries
  • bell peppers
  • spinach
  • nectarines
  • imported grapes
  • celery
  • potatoes

This list is why I’m SO excited to get my hands on Young Living’s newest product that was just introduced at convention this year!  The Thieves Fruit and Veggie Wash is SO simple to use and it leaves your food just the way nature intended- clean and residue free.

Of course, it’s still great to buy organic when you can, but sometimes the organic display at my grocery store leaves much to be desired. I will feel much better giving my fruits and veggies a quick dip in this solution to remove as much of the white stuff as I can.

How ’bout you?  Thieves Fruit and Veggie Wash to the rescue.

See that white spot on my apple? That immediately popped up when I dropped them into the Thieves bath.  It was invisible before, and I was able to scrape it right off.   Amazing. I cannot wait to try this stuff on ALL of my fruits and veggies!

But for right now, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, right?
