Oily Tapping Technique To Release Back To School Stress

Another school year is about to begin. That can be a very stressful time for children. Even
children who love school can feel stressed out, especially with the beginning of a new school year.
I am getting pretty old but I still remember some of the stresses I had with school.

New class schedule
Getting on the right bus
Feeling shy
Fitting in
Making new friends
Dealing with bullies
Tests and exams
Getting used to different teachers
Fear of public speaking

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful way you can help release some of the
stress in almost any situation. I love adding essential oils to the tapping. Several options
could be used with any tapping on back to school stress. A few possibilities are: Valor,
Stress Away, Peace & Calming and Release. There are lots of single oils you could use like
lavender for example. Any oil that is calming for your child.

Put a couple drops of your chosen essential oil on your fingertips before you begin tapping
through the EFT points.

Tap While You Gripe is one of my favorite ways to use EFT. It is a super simple technique.
Just talk and tap. Don’t get too worried about the exact wording you use or what order of
points to tap. You don’t even really need to say the words out loud. Just focus on the
negative emotion you want to clear. Keep talking and tapping, or thinking and tapping.

Focus on the stress and tap.

The EFT Points
KC = Karate Chop
EB = Beginning of the Eye Brow
SE = Side of the Eye
UE = Under the Eye
UN = Under the Nose
Ch = Chin
CB = Beginning of the Collar Bone
UA = Under the Arm
WR = Inside of Wrists
TH = Top of Head

Back to School Tapping Script
Here is a tapping script that focuses on starting the new school year, to get you started. Sit down
with your child before school and tap through a few times. Add anything that you know your child
is worried about or feeling stressed about. This is just a guideline. Add any other words that apply
to the feelings your child is having.

While tapping the Karate Chop Point, Repeat 3 Times:
Even though I feel am feeling stressed about going back to school, I love and accept myself as I am.
Even though I am really nervous about starting the new school year, I love and accept myself as I am.
Even though I am really stressed, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Now, start tapping through the points, starting at the eyebrow point.

First through all the negative emotions: (Stress Away oil blend)
I am feeling really stressed about school.
What if I can’t get to my classes on time?
What if I miss the bus?
What if I make a mistake?
What if the other kids don’t like me?
What if someone makes fun of me?
I hate that some kids are bullies.
Sometimes I don’t feel like I fit in.
Sometimes I feel uncomfortable.
Sometimes I feel afraid to speak up.
What if I look stupid?
What if I hate my teacher?
What if my teacher hates ME?
All the tests and exams.
Summer is freedom and I don’t want to go back to school.
All the work and studying.
What if I can’t remember the information we learn.
I feel so stressed out.
I feel so nervous.
I feel so anxious.
I feel so __________________

Shift to positive emotions: (Valor oil blend)
I choose to shift to a calm and confident energy.
I know this year will be awesome!
I will make mistakes and that is ok.
Everyone makes mistakes once in a while.
I know the other kids are having the same kind of feelings but I have this secret weapon.
I can put on Stress Away and TAP!
I choose to let go of all these stressful emotions.
I am ready to release it.
I am ready to look at going back to school in a new way.
I choose to feel relaxed and confident.
I am a very likable person and I like myself as I am.
I am willing to relax and let people get to know me.
I am an AWESOME kid and I like myself.
I am comfortable being myself even around people I don’t know.
I love myself more and more every day.
I NOW feel strong and confident in any size group of people.
I am allowing myself to relax and fit in.
I am becoming more and more confident in school and other situations.
I feel at ease when I am with other kids and I choose to fit in.
I am an awesome kid and I am fun to be with.
I have a magnetic, warm smile and I fit in wherever I go.
I’m calm and at peace, even when I’m the center of attention.
I am calm and relaxed and ready to start an AWESOME new year.

2.  Quick Tapping Script on Accepting End of Summer

After a summer relaxing by the pool, picnics, games, fun and good times with friends, the idea of getting
back into the busy school routine of study and homework can be a downer.

Even though I am really depressed about the end of summer, I love and accept myself as I am.
Even though I feel awful summer is over, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Now, start tapping through the points, starting at the eyebrow point.

First through all the negative emotions:

I am feeling really bummed about the end of summer.
It’s such a relaxing fun time.
So peaceful and happy.
No stress
No tests
No teachers
No bullies
So schedules
Summer is freedom and I don’t want to go back to school.
I don’t want to go back to school.
I don’t want to go back to school.
I’m feeling bummed.
Feeling stressed
Feeling cranky.

It’s Ok
I actually like school.
I know this year will be awesome!
I choose to let go of all these stressful emotions.
I am ready to release it.
I am ready to look at going back to school in a new way.
There are plenty of fun things to do during the school year.
I am just going to relax and enjoy it.
I am excited to learn new things and make new friends.
I am calm and relaxed and ready to start an AWESOME new year.
It’s going to be awesome.
I’m ready.

Take a deep breath.

Parents can change this up if they want to tap about sadness about
having to send the kids back to school.

3.  Armed, Locked, and Loaded  With Crowd Spray
The recipe below was posted by Lauren Crews.
This is our “Crowd Spray” that I spray on our family (definitely my
kiddos) before we go anywhere that I know are crowd populated
areas (especially school).

Items Needed:
2-3oz Spray Bottle
1/2 tsp. Sea Salt, Epsom Salt, or other emulsifier like Witch Hazel
20 drops Young Living Melrose Essential Oil
7 drops Young Living Thyme Essential Oil
10 drops Young Living Geranium Essential Oil
5 drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil

Directions:
In your spray bottle, add salt or emulsifier of choice. Then add the
essential oils; Melrose, Thyme, Geranium, and Peppermint.
Once added, shake the oils in with the emulsifier a little bit, then
fill the rest with distilled or purified water, and shake again.

There you go! Simple as that! We spray from head to toe (clothes
included) before heading out for the day. Armed, locked, and loaded!

(I cannot take credit for this recipe, as it is a known recipe from many oilers).
