Basil+

Scrape sides and continue pulsing until smooth. Pour the pesto into a glass bowl. Add additional olive oil until desired consistency is reached. Stir in a squeeze of lemon and 1 drop of Basil Vitality oil. Dip your favourite fresh bread or pita into it or spread it on a homemade pizza. Enjoy!

Burst of Basil+: A Quick Essential Oil Infused Salad Dressing

The bottled salad dressings you find on the shelves of grocery stores can be filled with all sorts of unnecessary ingredients.

Leave the excess sugars and sodium on the store shelves and whisk your own salad dressing with simple ingredients you can feel good about!

Toss your salads with this tasty homemade dressing that’s infused with the fresh food flavouring of Basil+, Black Pepper+ and Lemon+ essential oils.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 drop Basil+ essential oil food flavouring
  • 1 drop Black Pepper+ essential oil food flavouring
  • 3 drops Lemon+ essential oil food flavouring
  • ½ tsp salt
Directions
  1. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Add to your salad and enjoy!

Easy Pasta Sauce with Oregano+

Not sure what to make for your next dinner at home? A classic tomato oregano spaghetti is not only super quick to make (because nobody has time to be hangry), it’s packed with delicious flavour that’s sure to be a hit!

But have you ever realized mid-cook that you don’t have the fresh herbs your recipe calls for? For your next pasta night, add the perfect burst of flavour to your homemade pasta sauce with Oregano+ essential oil food flavouring!

With a brighter flavour than dried herbs, Oregano+ essential oil adds a sweet, peppery flavour to your dish and is sure to become a kitchen staple you’ll never want to be without.

Ingredients 
• 2 Tbsp olive oil
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 clove of garlic, minced
• 3 14-ounce cans diced tomatoes
• 1 drop Oregano+ essential oil food flavouring
• 1 drop Black Pepper+ essential oil food flavouring
• Salt to taste

Tip: For a lighter oregano flavour, dip a toothpick in the oil and swirl in sauce.  

Directions
1) Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

2) When hot, sauté onion until soft, 2-3 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

3) Add tomatoes and salt to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down and the mixture thickens, 10-15 minutes.

4) Add Black Pepper+ and Oregano+ essential oils. Adjust seasonings to taste, and serve over cooked Einkorn Spaghetti.

Coconut Lime+ Sugar Cookies

Add a special twist to the classic sugar cookie for a sweet treat! Simple enough to fit into a busy schedule, these simple sugar cookies will taste anything but simple.

Whether you’re baking for friends, family or yourself, these Lime+ essential oil-infused cookies will melt in your mouth and sweeten up any gathering. Plus, they’re perfect for sharing!

Ingredients
  •  3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 drops Lime+ essential oil food flavouring
  • ½ cup toasted coconut (optional)
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a mixer, beat butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Then, beat in eggs, vanilla and Lime+ essential oil.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Add toasted coconut if desired. One cup at a time, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  4. Roll rounded cookies in some extra granulated sugar and carefully drop dough onto cookie sheets covered with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Let baked cookies sit on cookie sheet for a minute or two before transferring to wire cooling racks.
