Summertime Fun

This has been a very good summer. I even got to check some things off my bucket list.

Living on the west coast in Canada, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world has provided us many fun things to do without leaving home. A few of my highlights have been biking, walking and building sandcastles on the beach with our grandsons. It was quite the sandcastle! And of course no castle is complete until it is surrounded by a mote filled with water. The boys loved it!  Another very exciting highlight is we found out we will be grandparents again in February. So fun!

We had the privilege to go to central Oregon with my cousin and her husband. As kids we vacationed together so it was very special to vacation together again, it’s been a long time since we got to do that. Central Oregon reminded me of an old novel  I read and I was half expecting a wagon train to come rolling through.  One thing that has been on my bucket list is to go whitewater rafting. Well, we got to do that and it was so fun! It was a hot sunny day which was nice because we all got soaked. Tubing down the river and relaxing by the pool were just as fun, not quite as exhilarating but fun just the same. All the meals were filled with good food, lots of laughter and catching up with each other. A time to put work aside, enjoy each others company and actually relax.

Throughout all our adventures I have been thankful to have essential oils on hand. Oils like Peppermint, Cypress and Helichrysum have helped with muscle pain (we aren’t as young as we used to be), Lavender always makes relaxing even easier, and other oils have been good for skin after all our outdoor activities.  My cousin’s husband kept asking for the Peppermint oil. He had some cold like symptoms and it really helped him to be able to enjoy his time there.

Good food, family and fun times. It has been a good summer so far!

But the summer isn’t over yet. I have one more trip to take. I will be going to Calgary for the Young Living Convention, the first ever in Canada.  I’m excited to learn more about essential oils and all the many benefits they have. Plus I get to go with my daughter and many good friends.

So many fantastic times this summer and still many more to come.

What have been the highlights of your summer?
