Using your own domain name

If you have a domain name and want your YLDist.com website to show up when someone enters it into their browser, please follow these steps to make that happen:

  • 1. Call your domain name provider. If you're using GoDaddy, their number is 480-505-8899.
  • 2. Ask the representative to "Please 301 redirect my domain name to (yldist.com/your-domain-name-choice), without masking".
  • 3. It's important to make sure that all the letters in the redirect URL are lowercase and there is a '/' slash at the end of the URL.
  • 4. Masking will cause your website to not be mobile compatible and mis-function. It's important to make sure they do not enable 'masking' on your 301 redirects.
  • 5. If you are not using GoDaddy, there is a chance that you will be required to pay a hosting fee to your domain provider to enable 301 redirects.

My personal website picture/avatar is showing up strangely.

  • Crop your photo to 'Square' before uploading the photo will stop photos from showing up sideways.

My personal website picture/avatar is not showing.

  • Please try clearing your cache, or look at the page with an 'incognito' mode enabled. Sometimes it will take up to 24 hours for you to see the photo, however, others who have not been to your website previously will be able to see your photo.
As detailed in the agreement which you accepted, all websites are sold as-is and there are generally no refunds.

Refunds will never be granted for the following reasons*:

  • You have ended your use, contract or desire to sell or operate with Young Living.
  • Your website isn't what you expected. (7 day money back guarantee from time of subscription and 7 days from previous renewals).
  • Any account cancellations must be done by you in The Account Center.

Accepted Refunds are subject to the following:

  • No refunds will ever cover more than 1 subscription period.
  • Any refunds accepted will be subjected to the following processing fees:
    • Yearly Refunds: $50 Manual Processing, Closing and Administrative Fees.
    • Quarterly Refunds: $18 Manual Processing, Closing and Administrative Fees.
    • Monthly Refunds: $7 Manual Processing, Closing and Administrative Fees.
By default, usernames are displayed on the top of your website until you enter your First and Last name in the Profile settings.

  1. Log into your website (Account Center)
  2. Click 'Edit Profile' in the blue box to the right of the page.
  3. At the top of your settings, fill in your first and last name.
  4. Below that, look at the drop-down box called 'Display Name Publicly As'.
  5. Choose which name you would like to have shown.
  6. Save your selection at the bottom of that page.

Please make sure that the following points are correct:

  1. Your links look like this: http://yldist.com/yourlink/
  2. Note the lowercase letters and the ending forward slash. These are important when linking your website.
  3. Also note the http:// versus https://, you will want to use http://
  4. If you're doing a 301 redirect, please make sure the above are also correct.
Sometimes there are issues when using smaller email companies like comcast, verizon, AT&T or similarly 'small' (as compared to Gmail) email services. These email companies sometimes have odd rules that can't be accounted for at times. If you are using one of these email companies as the email address you've chosen for the 'Email to Display' please consider switching to a major provider like GMail. If this isn't an option, please ensure the following:

  1. Check your spam inbox folder.
  2. Check your spam settings for the email service you're using.
  3. Make sure you've spelled your email correctly in the settings.

The Notice Is Odd

If the notice looks odd, please make sure you have your settings configured for the 'Blog Subscribers' section. This can be done by visiting your website dashboard and clicking on 'Blog Subscriptions' and then 'Settings' located under the 'Blog Subscriptions' area. Here you will find many settings to change.

If you did not receive affiliate credit, or your referrer did not receive affiliate credit for a recent sign-up, please fill out the following form.

Note:

  1. It can take up to 48 hours for the credit to show up on the referrers account.
  2. If the website was left and came to back later, then the credit will not have been received.
  3. If privacy settings on the browser are set to not allow cookies, then credit will not have been received.
  4. This form must be filled out in the same month which the new member signed up for a website. Credits cannot be issued in a different payout month from the sign-up date of the new user.

You can find your link in the blue box to the right (on desktop) or on the bottom of this screen (on mobile). Select 'View Website Homepage' and copy the link.
