Money is the Root of All Evil

Tyreese JosephUncategorized

At first glance, the title of this blog post may seem a little off-base. But bear with me.

As part of a FB class, I invited people to view a video on detoxing their homes using the Thieves product line (you can see it here: One of the invited posted an attack on the class in the comments thread explaining that this was just another money-making scheme and that we have all been fine through the decades using the stuff available on shelves. The “stuff” we’ve been using/eating is beginning to cause problems. The generation coming up is the first in our shared human history to have a projected shorter life span than the one before it. Remember, the fish bowl from my previous blog. You are only as healthy as your water, i.e. environment.

And, yes, I do receive “thank you” checks when I refer individuals to a superior company and product that uses sustainable practices that help the economy, environment and the lives of well over 2,000,000 people globally. I am not the only one benefiting from that arrangement! Yes, I am a member of an organization who mission is to “honor our stewardship of the earth and to champion nature’s living energy, essential oils, by fostering a community of healing and discovery while inspiring individuals to wellness, purpose, and abundance.”

Wellness. Sharing vital information that can make a difference and help people take responsibility and achieve wellness and vitality for themselves so that they can continue to live fully, matters the most to me. When I see a need for information and education, I seize it because it is important to me that people around me can live optimally and make better choices. How could I not share an opportunity of wellness with others.

Purpose. I have direction for myself and my family. I understand that wellness begins with healthy cells and by supporting systems from the inside out, we can do the things that matter most to us. Spending time with family and friends, DIY projects,  service projects, the energy to get up for church and more. Educating others to do the same, matters.

Abundance. Whether you want pizza money or to take your parents to Scotland (projecting a bit there, lol) for their anniversary, the potential is there. I decide what I want from my business and how much time I need to commit to make it happen. This is ideal for me: I’m not selling anything, I’m sharing the information that has changed my life and I want others to see their lives changed, too. Other people hold jobs and earn money and many of them do not believe in their company or products, it’s just a way to pay the bills. Why should I be ashamed of sharing valuable information about something I love.

So, back to the title. It is incomplete and definitely does not portray why I do what I do. The complete verse is “for the LOVE of money is the root of all evil”. -1 Tim 6:10
