Safety

The following safety precautions should be followed when using this oil:

  • Avoid use if oil is oxidized.
  • Balsam fir oil may cause irritation when applied repeatedly to the skin, especially if oil is oxidized.
  • Store in dark, airtight container in a refrigerator to mitigate oxidation.

Other Uses

Antioxidant Protection: For internal use, place 1-2 drops in a capsule and take with water. For external use, dilute 2-4 drops as necessary and apply to bottoms of feet; OR diffuse for inhalation*

Skin Health: Dilute at least 50:50 with a carrier oil and apply directly to affected area; OR apply several drops of diluted solutions to a hot, moist washcloth and cover affected area for several minutes (apply several times during day).*

Seasonal Support: Diffuse in home or work space throughout the day; OR apply several drops to cotton ball/tissue and inhale deeply over several minutes; OR apply diluted mixture to a hot, moist washcloth and cover throat/chest for several minutes; repeat several times.*

Muscle/Joint Support: Apply 1-2 drops directly to joint and massage; OR add several drops to warm bath and soak for 20 minutes*

Mental Energy: Diffuse in home/work place, or place 2-3 drops on cotton ball and inhale directly throughout day.*
