3 Things you’ll want in your gym (tennis) bag

I’ve never been so grateful to have 3 simple things in my tennis bag. Ningxia Red, Ningxia Nitro and my oils.

I just played in a 3 day tennis tournament for fun (well ok, maybe I DO love the competition). We played 2-3 matches each day and the matches could last 1-2 hours each depending on how crafty your opponent was  😉 I’m not 21 any more, so this was a physical challenge.

To get through an all day athletic event you need to have good food (nutrition… not talking about donuts here) and tools on hand. Food is easy. The other tools… require some thought.

I thought I’d share some of my favorites that you might want to try:

NingXia Red & NingXia Nitro

Good Afternoon Good morning NingXia Red & Nitro O4R compliant

For me, adding NingXia Red to my workout water bottle with a drop of Peppermint Vitality oil = bring it! let’s go! My energy and recovery rock with this stuff! When I forget to add this to my water bottle, I really notice how I feel (like I’m wearing cement boots).

If I feel like I really need to be alert , I will drink a Nitro on the court. Within minutes my body and mind tell me “thank you!”. <3Love <3. Nitro. #alwaysworks #neverfails

peppermint vitalitySometimes it gets a little toasty on the court and the cooling sensation from Peppermint is so refreshing. I put a drop of Peppermint Vitality on my tongue and rub a little on my gums. Nice & cool and wakes me up!

9-PanawayPanAway is a great oil to have handy. You can apply PanAway topically after exercise or to the neck and back anytime for a soothing and stimulating aromatic experience. My favorite place to apply it is to my knees and shoulders for that “wow!” effect just before a match or workout.

Some “extra” things that are nice to have in the bag are an oil or two that relax me, help me not get nervous about the competition. I like to apply one of these oils behind my ears and to a diffuser necklace before matches. It soothes me so that I can relax and play (or try to) in the same relaxed way I would if I were in practice instead of a competition. Different oils that I reach for are:

Joy – it just makes me happy and positive

StressAway – I think this one is self explanatory…

Clarity – relaxing and invigorating at the same time

Inner Child – I’m here to have FUN!

Valor – Sometimes you just need a little confidence…

***** After an intense competition or a tough workout, I follow with taking Sulfurzyme which is excellent for helping the body recover from an intense workout. There are many more health benefits of MSM in Sulfurzyme… go ahead, Google it!
