Epsom salts are making a comeback…
They are cheap.
They have a LONG list of health benefits
You can find them literally anywhere.
They won’t go bad.
They can also be used as a nice exfoliant on the feet.
Many athletes use Epsom salt as a natural remedy to help their bodies recover faster.
Epsom salts can soothe a sunburn if you soak a cloth in epsom salt water then apply to area.
They work great to carry essential oils into a bath to help disperse them.
When you add essential oils to epsom salts, now you have the benefits of the delightful aromas and botanicals to enjoy.
There are endless combinations of oils + epsom salts. Maybe you need to support a healthy immune system (Thieves ). Maybe you have just had a really bad day (Stress Away, Lavender, Frankincense, Valor, Sacred Mountain). Maybe you still think you’re 21 but your body just doesn’t agree with you (Pan Away, Peppermint, Aroma Siez, Marjoram, Lavender, Frankincense, Valor). Maybe you’re ready for a different bedtime routine tonight (Lavender, Valor, Peace & Calming, Cedarwood, RutaVaLa ). Choose one oil or combine a couple. Pick what appeals to you. Add oils to epsom salts, then add to bath water to help disperse oils. Some people like to add a little bit of sweet almond oil or V-6 for a little extra moisture in the tub.
When my kids were little and swimming a lot in the summer, a good soak in the tub with Lavender was a great thing to do as part of their bedtime routine.
