Ever cheered so loudly at a sporting event that you wondered if your voice will still work?

Sometimes… in the winter when the air is dry the throat gets dry and scratchy too.

I discovered that a good organic honey + essential oils = aaaaaah.

If you add about a spoon of the special honey to hot water and add a splash of apple cider vinegar (I go BIG and add a full Tablespoon of the vinegar) you have a nice soothing hot beverage and all the benefits of the oils, the honey and the vinegar. There are oodles and oodles of health benefits to each ingredient. If you make up the honey in a large batch (1/4 cup) and keep it in an airtight glass canning jar you’ll have a great soother ready to go.

Sometimes, I will just make this “tea” to support my healthy immune system. Can’t hurt.

Immune Honey

To Make the HONEY:

1/4 Cup good organic honey

7 drops YL Peppermint essential oil

10 drops YL Orange essential oil

10 drops YL Thieves essential oil

Mix and store in airtight container.

Orange essential oil is high in d-limonene a natural plant compound that has caught the interest of much research. Thieves is a blend of Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus radiata, Rosemary and Cinnamon bark oils. A potent protective combination. Peppermint’s invigorating aroma and flavor offer a cooling sensation. The recipe above could be modified with other favorite essential oils such as Lemon or Lime oil instead of Orange, Eucalyptus radiata instead of Peppermint.
