Essential Oils 101 for your HAIR
We all can’t all have hair like Rapunzel. Remember this beauty? She spent her days and nights high in a tower in solitude. She had an angelic voice, so she spent her time singing to the animals. I don’t think I want to do that. Solitude, no thank you. But the rest of the story is about her encounter with a handsome prince who beacons her to let down her hair! Handsome prince… who says okay to that?
I don’t know Rapunzel’s secrets to that avalanche of beautiful golden hair, but I do know some OILY hair secrets.
If your hair is DRY … Lavender and Cedarwood essential oils.
If your hair is OILY … Peppermint essential oil.
If you have dandruff … Singles: Tea Tree, Lemon, Cedarwood, Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint, Copiaba, Frankinscense. Blends: Citrus Fresh, Melrose, and Thieves wssential oils.
A simple rule of thumb is to add a 1 drops of your essential oil choice/choices to 1-2 teaspoons of your favorite shampoo.
Here’s a great essential oil recipe for your locks: Put 2 drops each of Rosemary, Cedarwood, and Lavender essential oils for each ounce of shampoo in your shampoo bottle (whatever shampoo you use). Shake well before use, and shampoo as normal. Leave it in hair while showering, then rinse. Promotes growth, and strengthens and repairs hair.
Here’s to HAPPY HAIR, ever after!!
