8 Holiday Recipes:  Unique Additions to Traditional Favorites

Can you believe it?!  Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner!

Every year without fail, the holidays seem to sneak up on me.

If you’re like me, you’re probably planning the holiday menu a week or less before you gather around the table with family & friends 😉 .
Like I always say,“If I’m not early, I’m late.”

Every holiday I try to add something different to the menu but the tried and true traditional dishes are always a staple on the table (see how I can rhyme…lots of Dr. Seuss reading lately…#momlife 😀 ).

8 Holiday Recipes:  Unique Additions to Traditional Favorites

1.  Turkey Injection Sauce

This turkey injection sauce is destined to be a hit!  The Vitality oils are so concentrated,  you really only need a few drops of Oregano, Thyme, Lemon and Black Pepper Vitality oils.

A little goes a long way with all of the Young Living Vitality essential oils.

3.  Southern Cornbread Dressing

I love Cornbread Stuffing/Dressing but it’s definitely a southern dish.

Growing up with all native northerners in Texas, my family deprived me of cornbread dressing until I tried it with a friend in college and LOVED IT!!!

If cornbread dressing isn’t a traditional dish with your family, make it anyway 😉 , or make your normal stuffing recipe and use the same Sage, Thyme and Black Pepper Vitality oils.

4.  Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Black Pepper and Rosemary Vitality oil…do I need to say more?!

If you don’t use Rosemary in your mashed potatoes…start… immediately this holiday season!

TIP:  When using the Vitality oils, mix in with a fat like butter or oil first before pouring into the recipe.

This technique will give your dish a consistant flavor throughout verses a burst of really intense flavor here and there.

5.  Sweet Potato Casserole

Sweet Potato Casserole is again another southern dish and there are so many variations on this recipe.

In our family, my mom makes her Hungarian version of sweet potatoes & apples which we’ve adapted over the years.

If you have a different sweet potato recipe, use the same Lemon and Cinnamon Bark Vitality oils in your recipe just like the Sweet Potato Casserole recipe.

6.  Ultimate Gravy

There’s no lack of flavor when you use Sage, Thyme and Black Pepper Vitality oils in this recipe!

TIP:  Substitute the Einkorn Flour for regular or Gluten-Free Flour.

7.  Lemon Butter Green Beans

One of my favorite recipes during the holiday season are fresh green beans!  This dish is very easy with little prep time.

The Lemon Vitality gives the green beans a great flavor.

8.  Pumpkin Pie

There’s nothing more traditional than Pumpkin Pie during the holidays, right?!

Incorporating Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, Clove & Ginger Vitality oils into your pumpkin pie recipe will keep everyone coming back for more.

TIP:  Cinnamon Bark, Nutmeg, Clove & Ginger essential oils make great diffuser recipes!

The smell of Fall will be in every crack of your home 🙂 .
