I’m sure you all know that you should be drinking water throughout the day. You need it to flush out toxins, to rehydrate your body and skin and to help your organs work better.
However, did you know that by adding certain fruits to your water, you could be giving that water an extra boost of goodness?
Here are a few of my favorites I like to add to support my health:
Adding Lemon to your water may help alkalize the body and even may detox your liver. It’s also pretty yummy tasting!
I like to add Lime and Lemon to my water because it may help with weight management, as well as offer immune support. Lime always makes me think of being in Key West too, so that’s just one more added bonus, because happy thoughts can also boost your immune system!
Another favorite of mine, just because it tastes sooooo good in my water. However, I have heard that it may also digest fat, as well as help you fight food cravings, so why wouldn’t you add it to your water?
I’m not a grapefruit fan, though I do find the taste very refreshing. There are many, many people who swear by it’s ability to detox your body and reduce the bumpy appearance from stored fat. And who doesn’t want something that may take that yucky look away?
The scent of Orange automatically lifts my mood, which is one of it’s reported properties. It may also help boost your immune system. If you’re ever feeling a bit low, you might want to add some Orange to your water.
There are some people who LOVE putting peppermint in their water. I have used it when I had an upset stomach, but I must confess, it’s not one of my favorite water additives. Besides using it for the occasional upset tummy, it can also boost your immune system, suppress your appetite and may stop a headache in its tracks.
This can help support your digestive system. It’s a good one to have on hand when your tummy isn’t feeling it’s best.
