I totally understand that getting started with Essential Oils can be intimidating. What do you use for what? Why should I use them? Are they safe? How much do you use? How to use them? The list of questions is endless! GASP. Breathe everyone. Its OK. You are not alone.

The question is, what do you want to do to improve the quality of your life? Essential Oils could be just one of those things along with eating healthier, working out, meditation, spending more time with friends and family. Are you empowered?

Lets start from the beginning. An essential oil is the ‘life blood’ of a plant. It carries the nutrients from the root of a plant to the very tip. They are extracted from the plant and distilled before being tested and bottled for us. A small bottle of oil has hundreds of pounds of the plant in it.
Please know that not all essential oils are created equally. You will want to make sure that the essential oils you use are pure, whole and are of Therapeutic Grade. Young Living Essential Oils are high quality and authentic. Check out . These therapeutic grade oils can be used topically (on the skin), Internally (via mouth) or aromatically (normally using a diffuser)

Essential oils are a more natural approach to support the body’s own healing process. In today’s roller coaster of a world, reaching for over the counter substances sworn to change our lives and keep us going are more and more common. We have less time, more tasks, less patience, more demands. When did you last stop and smell the roses?  As humans, our stress levels are higher and we are more susceptible to ailments and germs. Are you resilient?

Remember the first time you got a smart phone and had to learn all those new apps and features? It’s no different. Well, except that Essential oils are better for you than the tether we have to our smart phones. Lets not go there 😉

Please don’t think that you need to know all the answers ( I certainly don’t!) It’s an art of discovery and a fun learning journey,  I’ve discovered plenty in just a short time; that peppermint on my temples relieves a foggy head, that cinnamon will leave a (temporary) red mark on my skin (if I forget to wash my hands) and that I do not like the taste of lavender. The good news is that the community of people using essential oils have some awesome stories and recipes that they freely share to help us. To get the most out of your essential oils, I challenge you to experiment and try.

I would wish you good luck but you don’t need luck, you need courage and confidence (there’s an oil for that too – Valor)
