I didn’t know that honey is loaded with antioxidants and naturally contains vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6 and vitamin C. I knew it was good for you, but wasn’t exactly sure why.

It has a great natural source of carbohydrates which provide strength and energy to our bodies, honey is known for its effectiveness in instantly boosting the performance, endurance and reduces muscle fatigue of athletes.
It’s known for soothing sore throats, helping indigestion and is known even to help skin!

Among the many health benefits of honey, what is most impressive to me is that honey can be a powerful immune system booster. Combined with essential oils, it’s a powerhouse!

I make this recipe ahoneynd because honey doesn’t go bad, I have it available for me whenever I need support for my respiratory system, immune system or digestive system. You can eat it directly from the spoon, or add it to tea for a taste so good you won’t want to stop eating it.  It’s perfect all year round. I am not even a big fan of the taste of honey, but this is amazing.

When we made this at our last make and take, my favourite part was watching everyone’s face light up with surprise when they tasted it. It was awesome!
In a 1/2 cup glass jar add 10 drops each of:

Thieves vitality Essential Oil

Peppermint Vitality Essential Oil

Orange vitality Essential Oil (you can use lemon, but I like it better with orange)

Fill the jar with organic raw honey and stir well. Local honey is better as it has properties to support allergies. I get mine from a local bee keeper.
I just learned recently that honey can be adulterated. Here is a great article on how to check if your honey is real or just sugary syrup. http://www.mybeeline.co/beekeeping/how-can-we-differentiate-100-pure-honey-and-adulterated-honey/
Enjoy!!
